Communicate 2.1.3

Communicate 2.1.3
Ongoing Communication

In a virtual education environment, ongoing communication is an essential part of student success. Once the welcome email has been sent the instructor as well as school administration must keep parents and students up to date with school information, grades, and upcoming important dates - just to name a few!  Many instructors will send weekly progress updates that contain grade information. Others will send a weekly newsletter to keep parents and students on track with assignments and due dates. Also, short notes of encouragement and images are a fun way to keep students excited and connect to learning.  It is important to follow FERPA guidelines when doing this!

Here is an example of an encouraging message that I created to send to students.
