Open Educational Resources, or OER, are free and openly licensed educational materials that can be used for teaching, learning, research and other purposes. More specifically, the items may be used immediately in the classroom.

Conversely, Creative Commons (CC) is the licensing that placed on a resource. This license allows the world to distribute, display, copy, and webcast work, provided the user abides by conditions of the license.

OERs are free and openly licensed educational materials that teachers and others can use in at their disposal. When using the creative commons search for Food and Nutrition I came across many resources that are free for me to use and share in my classroom.
