Time Management

5 Time Management Tools:
  1. Spend time planning and organizing - this skill is very important to online and traditional classroom teachers. You must plan ahead and be organized with your lessons to be taught. "Failing to plan is planning to fail."
  2. Use a "To Do" List - this helps you to prioritize your goals and objectives for that day. Make a list - do the most important thing first. Items that are not as urgent can be done later. Cross things off the list as your complete them. This helps me not to feel overwhelmed.
  3. Be Flexible - in the online world and in life things can not go as planned. Always have a "plan B" and be able to refer to it with ease.
  4.  Eliminate the Urgent - do the most important and pressing thing first. Crossing the items with the nearest deadline will make life easier.
  5. Reward Yourself - send an encouraging email to students, treat yourself to ice cream after working long hours on a project. Rewarding yourself will motivate you!
All 5 of these tools will benefit you in your personal and professional life.
