Communicate 3.2.1

Communicate 3.2.1
The Newsletter

Communication is the key to success in virtual education.
Three highly effective methods of communicating with stakeholders are:
  1. telephone call
  2. email
  3. newsletter
1. Telephone call - this is the quickest way to make the biggest impact on a student or a parent. picking up the phone and making a brief call to discuss grades or remind a student of an upcoming assignment or test is an excellent way of making the virtual classroom seem more personal. Calling parents is a way of connecting with them and make a point that their student matters in your class.

2. Email - a great, quick way to send a message to one person or an entire group (mass email). This message could be a reminder or an announcement.

3. Newsletter - this is a great way to send out a lot of information to a group of students. Weekly newsletters can remind students and parents of upcoming assignments, tests, grading periods, events, etc. Newsletters can also contain contact information so that students and parents can have easy access to the instructors contact information.
